Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) & Tapping
For trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and distressing memories
If past experiences still feel overwhelming—whether it’s trauma, painful memories, or unresolved emotions—EMDR and tapping (also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT) can help your brain process and heal in a way that reduces their emotional intensity.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR and tapping use bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess distressing memories. This can include guided eye movements, gentle tapping on specific points of the body, or auditory cues—all designed to help release emotional blocks and shift how past experiences affect you.
What does an EMDR or tapping session look like?
✓ We gently explore a memory, thought, or experience that’s causing distress
✓ You engage in eye movements, tapping, or other rhythmic stimulation while recalling the memory in a safe way
✓ Over time, the emotional charge connected to the memory decreases, allowing you to feel lighter, calmer, and more at peace
EMDR and tapping are particularly effective for trauma, but they can also help with anxiety, phobias, chronic stress, and even self-limiting beliefs. These techniques allow you to release stored emotional pain so you can move forward with greater ease and resilience.
